Overview

Under the direction and supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager the Front of House Team Member works as part of a team within a service-oriented environment. They will perform general duties for catered functions and the cafeteria.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up buffets on tables and providing food and beverage services
  • Delivering and cleaning up catered food services to scheduled events
  • Taking food orders and performing cashier duties to cafeteria customers
  • Assisting with preparing food & beverage trays as per prepaid order as assigned
  • Cleaning counter area, tables and ensuring tidiness of work and public areas
  • Ensuring cleanliness and safe food handling practices
  • Receiving supplies ordered and restocking of items
Qualifications
  • English Fluency: Intermediate
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar setting
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and write orders
  • Knowledge of food services and health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure in an extremely busy environment and organize work to ensure a smooth operation
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 kilograms and push up to 50 kilograms
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures throughout the day (inside and outside)
  • Cash-handling knowledge, POS and credit card handling
  • Experience setting up a bar and/or serving liquor is an asset
  • ProServe certification is an asset. Candidates without ProServe will be required to obtain ProServe after commencing in the position.
