Position Information

The Senior Financial Analyst provides expert financial analysis to the FP&A Leadership and various clinical and non‑clinical programs. The Senior Financial Analyst is involved in preparing and updating the annual budget, preparing required financial reports, coordinating the variance analysis process and ad‑hoc analysis based on management requests to inform strategic decisions.

The Senior Financial Analyst oversees corporate financial reporting, including the Trial Balance, SRI, and other essential reports. Additionally, this role is key in managing the financial systems within FP&A’s scope, with a focus on optimizing and maintaining Oracle EPM, The Ottawa Hospital’s financial planning platform.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements
  • Four (4) year Undergraduate Diploma in Business or Accounting;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a large, complex environment;
  • Hands‑on experience in large‑scale financial ERP platforms;
  • Professional Accounting designation;
  • Proficient in Business Process Modeling (BPM) techniques;
  • Ability to guide and motivate individuals and teams toward achieving goals and enhancing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM, Oracle EBS and Oracle People Soft (HRIS);
  • Knowledge of MOH Guidelines.
