Job description
Forklift Operator

Will be working in a 12 hour continental shift in our client side in Brampton, ON.

Essential Functions
  • 1. Use the scanning system to locate products in the warehouse
  • 2. Pick the right products as requested by the worksheet
  • 3. Always adhere to first in first out (FIFO)
  • 4. Put up the correct bulk up on the mezzanine as indicated on the daily production schedule
  • 5. Shrink wrap all finished products and scan them into a location in the warehouse
  • 6. Properly operate a counterbalance forklift
  • 7. Comply with all safety requirements and company policies
  • 8. All products moved from the warehouse must be well identified
  • 9. Report damaged material when moving out finished products
  • 10. Report any wrongly labeled parts or bulk found on the production floor
Non-Essential Functions
  • 1. Wash drums and skids
  • 2. Clean and sanitize the blending room
  • 3. Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • 1. High school, or equivalent education
  • 2. Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred
  • 3. Able to communicate well, both verbally and written, also with good mathematical skills
  • 4. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. continuously
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • 1. Exposure to loud environment, airborne particles with strong odors associated with spicy food ingredients and cold, hot, wet and humid conditions.
  • 2. Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day. Climbing steps, ladders and working on elevated surfaces.
  • 3. Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • 4. Exposure to fast paced production lines working 8 to 12-hour shifts.
