Job summary

A health service organization located in Bedford is seeking a Food Service Worker to provide essential food service operations. Northwood is currently accepting applications for an Food Service Worker (FSW) for our Bedford location.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Grade 12 academic or equivalent
  • Two to three years food service work experience in a long-term health care, hospital, hotel, or restaurant facility.
  • Completion of any of the following: Basic Food Safety Certification, Food Service Workers Course or equivalent, Basic Food Preparation or equivalent
  • Experience working with the elderly within a decentralized meal service environment that provided the basic principles and concepts used in all functional areas of a food service operation.
  • Knowledge of food safety, safe food handling and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
  • Must be able to prioritize work, follow oral/written instructions and maintain established resident / client service standards.
  • Must be of sound physical well-being (able to lift 50 lbs at a time), in good general health and able to endure the day-to-day pressures of the position.
  • Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the Northwood corporate standard.
