Permanent, Full time, 35–44 hours per week. Salary $35.00 per hour. Shift options: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Flexible hours.

Responsibilities
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Hire food service staff
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays
  • Establish work schedules
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of 3–4 staff members
Qualities and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Language: English
  • Work site environment: Noisy, odours, hot
  • Work setting: Food service establishment
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing and walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, physically demanding
