General Description

A food production office cleaner is generally responsible for the cleaning of all offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

Schedule

Full Time, 12 hour shifts (Panama Schedule) Nights Only

Responsibilities

• Empties and cleans wastepaper/ garbage baskets.
• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors.
• Cleans and polishes chrome and other polished metal surfaces.
• Cleans partition glass.
• Clean and tidy washrooms
• Dusts baseboards and ledges
• Removes full garbage & recycling bags from cleaner’s cart, cafeteria, washrooms & offices/conference rooms, and places them in designated area for transport to garbage bin or compactor.
• Damp mops floors.
• Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue, and sanitary napkins.
• Vacuum carpeted areas as needed.
• Shampoo carpets in main office area and broad rooms.
• Patrol office & cafeteria areas picking up garbage on floor, mopping up spills.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Clean kitchenette and run dishwasher.
• Clean guard house (secondary location on property)
• Dust and damp wipes office equipment on an as requested basis.
• Washes metal and painted surfaces of filing cabinets & lockers at established frequencies or on an as requested basis.
• Disinfects highly touched surfaces on a pre-established frequency basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Attention to detail.
• Food industry experience and knowledge of cleaning in a food plant environment.
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral, are required.
