Summit Air is seeking a dedicated Class 2 Flight Instructor to join their team in Yellowknife!

There is a strong potential that the flight instructor role will lead to a flight line position within the Summit Air fleet.

Summit Air offers a comprehensive range of aviation services including charter flights, cargo, and scheduled operations, and is known for its modern fleet and advanced training capabilities. In this role, you’ll be instructing a cohort of 10–15 aspiring pilots.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Flight Instruction: Conduct in-flight training for a cohort of 10 students, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards and safety protocols.
2. Student Assessment: Regularly evaluate student progress, providing feedback and coaching to support their development as competent pilots.
3. Lesson Planning: Prepare lesson plans that align with Transport Canada’s flight training standards, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment.
4. Operational Support: Collaborate with flight school staff to ensure efficient scheduling of training aircraft.

Qualifications:

1. Must hold a valid Class 2 Flight Instructor certification.
2. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
3. Significant professional aviation experience.
