Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent; Pre-Service Firefighter Diploma preferred.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License required within 3 months of hire.
  • Must pass SCBA Fit Testing.
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate must be obtained within first 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
  • Enforce fire prevention standards and building codes.
  • Deliver internal training on fire prevention programs.
  • Conduct daily checks of CO2 and sprinkler systems.
