Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a Service Technician in the Fire Alarm industry or relevant experience as an Electrician.
  • Valid CFAA Registration or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs.

Four Alarm, a dynamic and expanding organization in the fire safety industry, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. We specialize in providing top-notch inspection, maintenance, and repair services for fire alarm systems. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated professional to contribute to our success.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting Power-Up, Programming, Verification, and Inspection of fire alarm systems.
  • Generating electronic reports and ensuring timely submission of inspection reports.
  • Providing technical support to customers as required.
  • Delivering operational training to end-users.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience with Four Alarm.
  • Reading and comprehending engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.
Requirements and Skills
  • 1+ years of experience as a Service Technician in the Fire Alarm industry or relevant experience as an Electrician.
  • Valid Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration OR Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate or equivalent qualification (red seal).
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, industry-standard testing equipment, electrical meters, and elevating devices (ladders).
  • Capability to lift equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Proficiency in climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 or better motor vehicle license with a clean record.
  • Efficient navigation skills in the City and surrounding areas, as jobs are electronically dispatched with mapping abilities.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and the Windows operating system (specific computer training will be provided after hiring).
  • Knowledge of Fire-Lite, Maple Armor, Notifier, Simplex, EST (Edwards), Mircom, and Siemens systems is an asset (field and system training will be provided after hiring).
Compensation and Benefits
  • $36.00 to $45.00 / hour – Commensurate with experience
