Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Financial Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract in Toronto. The ideal candidate must have a CPA designation and 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience. About Our Client

Our client is sourcing a Financial Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract.

About the Opportunity
  • Manage certain accounting processes and ensure data integrity of accounting records
  • Consolidate accounting records for preparation of summarized reports, including intercompany transactions, elimination and foreign currency translation
  • Assist in the documentation & implementation of accounting policies and principles which may affect the SAP system or others
  • Train accounting teams on any new accounting procedure or policy change
  • Conduct regular meetings to promote two-way communication of best practices in business and system processes
  • Provide support to the head office team relating to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems / processes
  • Liaise with the auditors and their requirements
  • Continuous review of business processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested by senior management
About You
  • CPA designation required
  • 5-7years relevant accounting experience
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS applicable to area of responsibility
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is a requirement
  • Proficiency in the SAP and/or Yardi system would be an asset
