Job description

With a purpose beyond profit, Libro Credit Union is proud to be a Certified B Corporation®, joining leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good. Serving families, farms, and enterprises across Southwestern Ontario, Libro is committed to growing prosperity for people, businesses, and communities using an inclusive, forward-thinking approach to banking.

Prime Management Group Inc. is proud to partner with Libro Credit Union in the search for a passionate and experienced Financial Planner to be based in Strathroy, ON to support the Lambton Kent Middlesex region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping individuals and families achieve financial confidence and long-term prosperity.

As the Financial Planner you will play a key role in serving Libro Owners, building strong relationships and developing personalised financial plans that reflect each Owner’s goals, values, and risk tolerance. Managing approximately 300 Owner households (typically $85,000 – $450,000 in investable assets), you will work collaboratively across teams and business lines to ensure a seamless, purpose-driven experience.

Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with Owner households through proactive financial planning and advice.
  • Engaging Owners and prospects using referrals, data insights, and community connections.
  • Partnering with internal specialists—including Investment, Insurance, and Business Advisors—to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Developing and executing a structured business plan with measurable growth goals.
  • Mentoring peers and contributing to a culture of collaboration and financial literacy.
  • Maintaining compliance with Libro, Aviso Wealth, and all relevant regulatory bodies (OSC, CIRO, FP Canada).
  • Making informed, responsible decisions that protect both Owners and Libro.

This position is ideally suited for an experienced wealth professional seeking to advance their practice-management skills within a values-based, community-focused financial institution.

Qualifications
  • A professional designation: PFP, QAFP, or CFP (required).
  • 3-5 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a managed-investments or mutual-fund sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide holistic, personalized financial advice.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Alignment with Libro’s values of Accountability, Courage, High Performance, and an Inclusive Mindset.
