Brandt is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to fill a temporary position in our Regina, SK location. We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for process improvement to join our dynamic finance team. Duties and Responsibilities:*Prepare and analyze divisional & departmental monthly/annual financial statements while striving to ensure their accuracy and completion on a timely basis.*Provide operational level analysis on monthly financials and trends and highlight the areas for improvement*Reconcile GL accounts and prepare month end journal entries with supporting documentation*Ability to analyze large data into meaningful conclusions with recommendations.*Analyze profit and loss variances to prior performance and budgets.*Works with different divisions for intercompany processing and reconciliation*Assist/prepare working papers required for quarterly and annual reserves & allowances*Assist with the preparation of documentation required for the annual external audit*Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff Required Skills:*Solid understanding of financial metrics, corporate finance, and accounting.*Excellent verbal and written communication skills*Able to work as part of a team and independently.*Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines*Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with drive for continuous improvement. Required Experience:*University degree in Business/Accounting, preference will be given to those who possess an advanced degree or professional accounting designation (such as CPA). Consideration will also be given to those who are currently enrolled or possess the pre-requisite requirements for the CPA program.*At least 2 years' experience working as a Financial Analyst or Senior Accountant role.
