BC Assessment is currently looking for a Finance Co-op Student or a new graduate for a 8-month work term (January to August) to join our Accounting and Reporting team in our Victoria, BC office.

The Finance team is looking for someone to support capital expenditure and operating expenditure portfolios for BC Assessment. This position is part of the Accounting and Reporting team and will be responsible for entries to the General Ledger, administering capital IMIT projects, completion of account reconciliations and analysis, and resolving variances. The role provides an exceptional learning opportunity that offers insight into both capital expenditure and operating expenditure management, and the ability to develop and expand professional communication, stakeholder relationship management, and financial accounting and analysis skills.

*The compensation range above is based on the salary schedule outlined in the CUPE 1767 Collective Agreement. Successful candidates typically start at the minimum of the range (Step 1), with the opportunity to receive an increment after 12 months of service.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. We will consider new graduates with relevant course and work experience.
