Our Opening And Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Field Service Technician to cover Edmonton and surrounding region. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance (PM) on laboratory equipment. This equipment will include weighing devices as well as other equipment as per business needs in the applicable service territory.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair all Mettler Toledo products within the Business Group.
  • Perform system and equipment installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as required.
  • Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned accounts are completed on time.
  • Complete system configuration and testing prior to delivery.
  • Provide technical solutions consultant and application support to the customer and the sales force.
  • Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems.
  • Ensure vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum 2-year college diploma in Engineering/Electronics/Instrumentation Technology and/or Computer Science and experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting or technical installation in the industrial electronics technology marketplace is required.
  • The ability to lift, transport and place test weights and equipment of up to 20 Kg
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Willing to work overtime
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
