Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be the go-to expert supporting our customers and internal teams with technical challenges. From troubleshooting mechanical and electrical control systems to supporting installations, trade shows, and product development – you’ll play a key role in ensuring Hörmann’s access solutions perform at their best.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include
  • Providing technical support (French & English) via phone, email, and in person.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical/mechanical issues (PLCs, relay logic, inverters).
  • Supporting field operations (installations, repairs, maintenance).
  • Assisting with warranty claims and technical documentation.
  • Participating in product testing and prototyping with Engineering and R&D.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives like trade shows and display setup.
  • Helping to create manuals and training resources.
  • Following all health & safety procedures – your safety is our priority.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Languages: Fluent in French and English (spoken & written) – required.
  • Education: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Hands-on experience in field service, technical support, or customer service.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and mechanical systems; strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude; tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and other technical software; comfortable working independently, traveling when needed, and juggling priorities.
