Job summary

A leading electrical services company is looking for a Field Engineer/Field Specialist in Burnaby, Canada. This role involves performing electrical testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on power distribution systems. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and preferably hold an Associate's degree in Electrical Power & Controls or a degree in Electrical Engineering. A commitment to safety and availability for travel is essential, and candidates will take part in an emergency on-call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience performing switchgear testing.
  • Must be able to drive locally and regionally daily.
  • NETA Certification (Level I, II, III, or IV) or similar desired.
  • Must be able to work safely and follow electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing and maintenance on power distribution systems.
  • Conduct tests and troubleshoot protective relays and transformers.
  • Support start-up and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
