Job Summary

Oversee daily farm operations, including livestock care, farm maintenance, and safety compliance on a beef cattle ranching and feeding operation.

Responsibilities
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
  • Direct farm feed inventory activities
  • Direct farm grooming activities
  • Handle animals
  • Mark livestock as proof of ownership
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and biocontainment procedures
  • Co‑ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and biocontainment procedures are followed
  • Maintain livestock performance records
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Select livestock for sale
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock‑related programs
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties
Qualifications
