A leading mining services provider in Ontario is seeking a Face Shovel Operator to safely operate a 600-ton face shovel at Greenstone Mine. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of experience, with double side loading experience as an asset. Responsibilities include performing field risk assessments, maintaining equipment, and completing daily reports. The position offers a competitive salary between $104,831.00 and $111,539.00, together with transportation from various locations to the mine site.
The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
We are seeking a Face Shovel Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Face Shovel Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating a 600-ton face shovel.
