Our client located in Chilliwack provides services to marine and industrial clients worldwide.

They are seeking an experienced Fabricator 3 to join their Industrial division. The Steel Fabricator will collaborate closely with welders to ensure quality production and work as a team to meet daily goals.

The Metal Fabricator 3 is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and engineering drawings to determine metal cuts. They will use various light and heavy machinery to make cuts and assemble fabricated components into complete units.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing blueprints and engineering drawings to assess material needs and plan fabrication tasks
• Operating light machinery such as grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and saws
• Layout, fabricate, and install components in the final product
• Monitoring the quality of fabrication
• Adhering to safety standards and SOPs
• Performing other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in a related field
• Advanced knowledge of fabrication
• Red Seal Certification in fabrication required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Basic mechanical skills and manual dexterity
