Role Overview

We are looking for a F1 Digital Analytics Manager (Web, App, Database, Social) to join our Marketing team at our London office. This role will lead the development and delivery of data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth across F1’s digital ecosystem, including Web, App, Database, and Social platforms. You would also oversee analytics initiatives across commercial, product, and marketing functions, ensuring data is leveraged effectively to enhance fan engagement and optimise performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

F1’s digital platforms are central to fan engagement globally. As Digital Analytics Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business value through data. You will shape the analytics roadmap for Web, App, Database, and Social, ensuring high-quality insights and embedding data into decision-making processes across the organisation.

  • The role requires someone who can blend technical expertise (SQL, data modelling, digital analytics tools) with strong business acumen (audience growth, engagement metrics, marketing impact), while managing agencies and communicating effectively at all levels.
  • Success will be measured by implementing comprehensive analytical solutions that provide actionable insights critical to fan engagement and commercial growth.
Role Specific
  • Act as subject matter expert on digital engagement metrics, user behaviour, and reporting methodologies across Web, App, Database, and Social.
  • Brief and oversee agency execution on data modelling and analytics for digital platforms, ensuring stakeholder needs are met and ad-hoc requests delivered reliably.
  • Report on audience acquisition, engagement, and retention, with a strong understanding of how individual metrics or market trends influence overall performance.
  • Lead development and maintenance of engagement and traffic models and segmentation frameworks, advising on key assumptions and commentary required for senior stakeholders.
  • Confidently communicate performance insights to senior stakeholders and respond to complex questions across all aspects of F1’s digital ecosystem.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of data collected and advise on how future product or operational changes may impact reporting, including mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee and define scope of work for third-party agencies supporting data science, modelling, dashboard development, and strategic insight.
  • Deliver high‑visibility reporting to senior stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness. Serve as the primary analytics and business partner, leading end‑to‑end insight generation across digital products, customer journeys, and the core database. Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Undertake other duties within your capabilities as your Department Manager or Team Manager may assign to you from time to time.
What Are We Looking For?

Knowledge & skills

  • Deep understanding of digital engagement metrics and audience growth strategies
  • Coach and mentor a small team of analysts, fostering curiosity, analytical rigour and innovation.
  • Exposure to forecasting and FP&A analytics
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling, with ability to work across large datasets to troubleshoot, optimise and scalable query design.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools and environments (Google Analytics, AWS, Emplifi)
  • Strong capability in BI platforms (PowerBI, Quicksight, Looker) with focus on usability and clarity
  • Experience managing third-party agencies under senior stakeholder scrutiny
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in uncertain environments
Experience

Prior to the role it would be essential that you:

  • 5+ years in analytics role – client or agency side
  • Experience working with digital platforms (Web, App, Social) and CRM/Database systems

  • Experience from sports, telecoms, financial services, or entertainment business
