Executive Director — Yonge + St. Clair BIA (Toronto)

Full-time | Salary: $86,000, commensurate of experience

The Yonge + St. Clair Business Improvement Area represents more than 450 businesses and 14,000 employees in a rapidly growing Midtown Toronto district. The BIA enhances the public realm, supports local businesses, delivers marketing and events, and works closely with City partners and stakeholders to strengthen neighbourhood vitality.

We are seeking a collaborative and hands-on Executive Director to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and the implementation of its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. Reporting to the Board of Management, the Executive Director oversees daily operations, advances strategic initiatives, manages finances and governance, leads a small team, and serves as the BIA’s primary ambassador.

Key qualifications include:
  • Leadership experience in business, non-profit, municipal, or economic development environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and partnership-building skills
  • Experience with budgeting, governance, and operational management
  • Ability to lead projects from strategy through implementation
  • Experience working with BIAs, small businesses, or municipal processes is an asset
