Job summary

A leading wholesale distributor in Windsor, Ontario seeks an experienced Civil Estimator with 3-5 years of estimating projects experience. As part of the team, you will review tender documents, prepare estimates, and produce required materials lists. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret construction drawings are essential. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Civil Estimating projects experience required.
  • Knowledge of Various Municipal specifications is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents including specifications, drawings and addendums.
  • Prepare estimates based on contract bids, drawings and specifications.
  • Produce a list of required materials for site servicing.
  • Produce quotes for customers in the current geographical Area.
  • Daily review of upcoming tenders and tracking job closings.

What you will do:
  • Review tender documents including specifications, drawings and addendums.
  • Prepare estimates based on contract bids, drawings and specifications.
  • Produce a list of required materials for site servicing
  • Produce quotes for customers in the current geographical Area
  • Using Expert Estimator and AS400 to produce quotes
  • Daily review of upcoming tenders and tracking job closings
What will you bring:
  • 3-5 years of Civil Estimating projects experience required
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Various Municipal specifications is an asset
  • Hard-working with a strong get-it-done attitude
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Outstanding ability to work and multi-task under pressure
