Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Prepare pre‑qualification submissions to present to clients.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bid forms.
• Utilize quantity take‑off procedures.
• Advise on tendering procedures.
• Analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• Commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
• 3‑5 years of estimating experience in construction.
• Computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word.
• Experience with tendering procedures, bid forms and quantity take‑offs.
