Based in Sudbury, the Environmental Technician will report to the Environmental Lead and have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that provides practical ecological solutions to industry, government, and private sectors, while specializing in environmental assessment, species at risk, aquatic and terrestrial studies, erosion and sediment control, regulatory approvals, environmental inspections during construction, fish habitat restoration, hydrology, and hydraulics.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the Environmental team within TULLOCH Engineering, you will:

  • Work with aquatic and terrestrial field biologists to conduct biophysical surveys in a variety of terrestrial and aquatic environments
  • Compile and summarize field data
  • Record and deliver clear and concise field data records
  • Support various environmental project work as required

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in postsecondary program in a relevant field of study, such as Ecology, Biology, or Environmental Studies. Additionally, you should have:

  • Flora and fauna identifications skills, including plants, birds, reptiles, mammals and fish, are an asset
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Unwavering commitment to health & safety in the workplace
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
