The Opportunity:

We are looking for a driven Environmental Student to join our St. Albert office this upcoming summer! You will have the incredible opportunity to be part of one of Canadian Natural’s conventional teams, supporting day-to-day activities. Build and expand your practical knowledge through working in an operations environment at one of Canada’s largest independent oil and gas producers.   • Job location: St. Albert, AB
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, working 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
  • Term length: 4 months
  • Term start: May 2026
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform database entry, clean up, and data quality review
  • Assist with report reviews and filing of field reports
  • Provide support to Environmental Specialists and Coordinators
  • Assist with the generation of supporting data and forms for regulatory application submissions
  • Contribute to program planning
  • Complete regular site visits to assist with field audits and Worksite Safety Observations (WSOs)
  • Participate in cross referencing field activities with program inventory

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Currently enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an Environmental, Engineering, Technology or related Science discipline degree/diploma program
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license and feel comfortable driving a half ton work truck in a safe manner
  • Previous summer or work term in an oil & gas field position would be an asset
