Qualifications

• Membership in the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) is required once eligible.
• Requirement to obtain Level 3 certification in the New Brunswick Building Officials Association (NBBOA) once actively working.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with building codes and by-laws for new and existing buildings.
• Determine if construction and occupancy work meets established standards.
• Work with individuals to achieve compliance before corrective actions are needed.

Education
