Agropur is looking for an Engineering Manager to join its team in Granby.

As a key member of the engineering department, the Engineering Manager at the Granby plant plans, organizes, directs, and develops all activities related to plant projects. They act as the expert for process systems, manage the site’s CAPEX portfolio (including the execution of projects under $150K), and develop plant standards in collaboration with internal teams. Responsible for financial and technical resources, they optimize automation to maximize operational efficiency while respecting budgets, health and safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Salary range 006: $ 98 400$ to $123 000 (Base salary will be determined based on academic background, experience, training, and job-related skills).
What’s involved in this role:

The Engineering Manager will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all plant engineering projects under $150K.
  • Control and allocate financial and technical resources according to needs and budget constraints.
  • Propose, justify, and deliver CAPEX projects, including improvement and economic projects.Ensure responsibility for project budgets and compliance with cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Act as the site expert for process systems and work on reducing losses.
  • Initiate, develop, and improve plant automation in collaboration with the performance team.
  • Develop and deploy process training modules for plant personnel.
  • Develop relevant KPIs for processes and ensure their monitoring.
  • Support the planning team in establishing efficient and cost-effective maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering departments at other sites to harmonize best practices.
  • Continuously plan and innovate to meet short- and long-term plant objectives.
What You Need to Join Our Team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project management within the food industry.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).Proficiency in Lean principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
