About the role:

Under the supervision of the Cocoa & Liquid Shipping Production Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and improving existing processes. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating and recommending new technological development processes that will optimize performance at a lower cost, while increasing production quality based on existing manufacturing techniques.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Improve and maintain production efficiency by standardizing processes;
  • Suggest, apply and implement concepts, standards and process improvements (method, machine, raw materials, etc.);
  • Analyze trends and reports on generated data to define process improvements, performance and functionality;
  • Identify equipment weaknesses and work to reduce them;
  • Improve product and process quality, consistency, productivity, efficiency and risk analysis;
  • Review existing data and determine if further research and information needs to be considered while assessing the adequacy of existing processes and equipment;
  • Use a computer to model, simulate a design and evaluate processes;
  • Work closely with the continuous improvement team;
  • Analyze the results to highlight the issues (machines, methods, raw materials, etc.);
  • Be rigorous in ensuring that aspects of an operation or process meet the specified standards in force;
  • Develop technical expertise on critical equipment;
  • Support and improve employee training and in certain specific cases set up technical training;
  • Collaborate on the successes of the production team and occasionally (and briefly) replace supervisors;
  • Contribute to maintaining product safety by adopting behaviors that meet defined requirements.
About you:
  • Completed university degree in the field of engineering (Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or other related field)
  • 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing field or other similar experience;
  • Technical knowledge in project management and problem solving (Green belt would be an asset);
  • Knowledge of statistical tools;
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential bilingualism French - English (to interact with colleagues from other sites);
  • Demonstrate autonomy and work with minimal supervision;
  • Detail and results oriented;
