Stantec is currently seeking a self-motivated engineer with specialized expertise in sustainable design, energy efficiency, building energy simulation, and sustainability accreditations. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Stantec’s Sustainability and Building Performance team in Toronto, and will be responsible for delivering simulation assignments, energy audits and studies, and integrated into the mechanical design team as needed. Opportunities for collaboration with Stantec offices across the globe will be available.
The qualified candidate will have a background in energy-efficient system design and simulation, energy analysis studies, and energy management & incentive programs. A strong knowledge of HVAC and building control systems, sound knowledge of lighting systems, building envelope design, energy conservation measures, greenhouse gas emission, and building energy simulation programs is expected. Exceptional communication skills, the ability to provide excellent client service and a commitment to sustainable design are essential for this position. Experience with mechanical design, Revit and Canadian acute care healthcare projects would be an asset.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
