Job Posting Description:

Are you passionate about using your expertise to support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies? Reporting to the Senior Manager, Energy & Environmental, you will work with external partners and internal teams to run energy management and waste programs for all LCBO retail locations across the province.

Salary: $65,203 - $111,078

Location: LCBO Head Office - 100 Queens Quay East, Toronto, ON

Hybrid remote/in-office. #LI-Hybrid

About the Role

  • Coordinate with our third-party Utility management team regarding verification of utility and waste accounts, rates, payments, variances and data collection

  • You will analyze data regarding utilities, waste, building automation systems, and various environmental initiatives to identify trends and leverage areas of opportunity

  • You will plan, implement, and provide technical support for initiatives in our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy (e.g. energy reduction, water conservation)

  • Ongoing coordination and support for root cause analysis of energy performance and consumption anomalies, enabling effective resolution and validation of irregular usage and billing discrepancies

  • Build relationships with external vendors to maintain data integrity of shared information and address disruptions collaboratively

  • You will create and present custom reports to provide recommendations on actions to minimize cost and advance Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals

  • Drive collaboration across internal groups to reinforce and improve building automation protocols

  • Budget administration, including assisting with invoice processing and reporting on costs pertaining to environmental compliance and waste management services.

  • Travel based on operational need

About You

  • 5+ years experience in energy and environmental management, with focus on utility and waste management

  • Undergraduate Degree in related discipline such as finance, engineering or associated degree in energy management or related field

  • Experience with energy/utility management in conjunction with energy initiatives

  • Experience with utility billings, methodologies, vendor specific rates, variances and credits, including Ontario Energy Board impacts and rates

  • Experience analyzing data to draft evidence-based recommendations to identify and share opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Understanding of utilities, energy markets, and energy or waste project implementation

  • You can collaborate with diverse partner teams to establish trust and leverage shared interests to resolve issues while prioritizing what is best for our clients and our business

  • Experience meeting project goals while adapting to changes in environment and resources

  • Administrative expertise with budget administration including processing invoices and reporting on costs

  • Willing to travel based on operational need
