We’re on the search for an Electronics Technologist on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role

The electronics technologist is responsible for programming machines (SMT, selective, underfill, AOI, etc.), suggesting production-related methods and supporting the manufacturing department during the assembly phase.

Responsibilities
  • Suggest assembly procedures for electronic components of simple complexity.
  • Prepare Routing Slips for the parts under his control.
  • Define production templates associated with slips and perform a follow-up of their manufacturing
  • Help assembly operators by performing detailed reviews during production.
  • Follow rework procedures when an item does not meet required standards.
  • Help superior level technologists in their work by participating to the development of new processes or tools and by writing summaries.
  • Make recommendations in order to improve the efficiency of the production workshop.
  • Ensure that the work is performed according to internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other discipline related duties.
Minimum qualifications
  • Diploma of college studies in Electronics Technology or the equivalent.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of production techniques and electronics assembly processes.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics assembly tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and one ERP production database
  • Fluent in both oral and written French.
Schedule
  • Day time training: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
  • Evening shift: Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 10:30pm OR Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 12:30am
  • Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday 7:00am to 6:30pm
Special considerations

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
