Job description

Location: REMOTE - Quebec City - Must live in the territory or at the most: 45 minutes outside of the Territory

Travel: Spending about 90% of time on the road and going home. No overnight.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm + Overtime

Base salary: $24 to $40.21 hourly + overtime (overtime is paid after 8 hours per day, first 4 hours is 1.5 after that it’s double time)

Scope of Position: This position interfaces with other Service Technicians, Service Area Managers, Regional Service Manager, Parts Manager and Parts Department staff, Service Dispatchers, Service Data Entry staff and various Branch Sales and Service personnel in the resolution of equipment installations, equipment problems, Customer Relations and at times, Service Administration problems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must speak fluent Bilingual French and English spoken and written
• Dep in Electro Mechanics – Must
• College graduate of a Mechanical – Electrical – Electronic course
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in technical service-related work
• Must possess a valid provincial ‘gas fitters’ license - Tag 1 or Tag 2
• Driver’s license with an impeccable driving record
• This position requires good communication skills to deal with erratic hour service calls/requests, including weekend and shift work
• Technicians must be able to travel to the USA (factory training).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
• Climbing up to 8ft with ladder
• Extensive walking 4-7 kilometers/day
• Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
• Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
• OT and On-Call Duty as required
