Job description

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an Electrician to join a well-established and highly automated manufacturing facility on the afternoon shift.

This role plays a critical part in supporting daily production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical and automated systems. You’ll work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing processing and packaging equipment
  • Performing PLC, HMI, and robotic programming, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Completing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on production, automation, and support equipment
  • Troubleshooting electrical circuits and integrating electronic devices
  • Performing installations and modifications to correct operational issues and support continuous improvement
  • Assisting with mechanical work including equipment breakdowns and changeovers as required
  • Supporting new equipment launches and the introduction of new technologies or programs
  • Performing setup and calibration of equipment and control instrumentation
  • Maintaining food safety standards and immediately reporting concerns to Quality Assurance
  • Working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, SOPs, HACCP, and GMP requirements
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Valid Electrician License (442A or 309A)
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and control applications
  • Experience working with automated equipment
  • Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with standard tools, materials, and trade practices
  • Proficient English communication skills (read, write, speak)
  • Solid mathematical and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in food manufacturing or highly regulated production environments
  • Experience supporting robotics and advanced automation systems
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume operations
Hourly Rate:

$42 - $46/hr + shift premiums
