Design engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for their growing team in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON offices. Salary range is $90,000 – $120,000. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.

Responsibilities of Electrical Project Manager:
  • Works with the Management Team (headed by Managing Principal) to control and coordinate business development, sales/marketing, team targets, team personnel, technical design and related activities
  • Develops, establishes, and administers procedures and systems pertaining to team management matters
  • Prepares work load, sales forecasts and team resources/schedule for administrative and managerial functions
  • Serves as the principle liaison with selected clients or major projects
  • Upholds and maintains design standards and will be responsible for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardization, quality assurance, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of Division 16 electrical building services (plus role of Managing Consultant as required).
  • Electrical Project Manager forms a viable part of the management team and is responsible for managing his/her respective Project Design Team for the company.
  • Povides technical support and management resources essential for design decision-making and team management accountability.
  • Fully responsible and accountable for all his/her respective design team staff.
  • Electrical Project Manager will review staffing regularly and distribute tasks effectively and consistent with staff skill sets.
  • Assist with Human Resources and make recommendations for staff hiring, terminations and issues related to performance discipline.
Requirements of Electrical Project Manager:
  • Electrical Project Manager will have a minimum 10 years of specific HV, LV, control and lighting design experience
  • Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff
  • Communication and Coaching skills
  • Minimum of Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Professional Engineer (C.Eng., P.Eng. or equivalent)
