Qualifications

Electrical Panel Builder

Location: Cambridge, Canada

Position Overview:

You will work closely with the fabrication and engineering teams to support the building of automation, custom, and integrated technology products. This role involves assisting with a variety of tasks on the shop floor to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You are dependable, adaptable, and willing to take on different challenges as they arise.

What You’ll Do:
  • Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of industrial components (relays, breakers, contactors, PLC hardware, VFDs)
  • Proficient with hand tools and wiring methods (stripping, crimping, ferruling, labeling)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Can follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
What You Bring:
  • Experience in control panel assembly / electrical wiring (minimum 1–2 years)
  • Electrical/Controls certificate or apprenticeship
  • Safety training (WHMIS / OSHA, Lockout/Tagout)
  • Forklift experience
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable in shop/industrial environment with PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves)
