Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying out electrical project designs.
  • Review shop drawings and carry out field reviews.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines and attend project meetings.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying out the design of various electrical projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
    • Power distribution and emergency backup
    • Lighting
    • Fire Alarm
    • Security, door access, and controls
    • Communications and networking
  • Reviewing shop drawings
  • Carry out and assist with field reviews and data collection
  • Assist in preparing reports and specifications
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates
  • Adhere to project budgets and objectives
  • Attend project meetings with clients and team members
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings
  • Project management tasks; experience in project management is an asset for an Intermediate position
  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
What Makes You Unique
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or fieldwork; experience in Commercial, Municipal, and Industrial sectors is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician
  • Eligibility or enrollment with relevant professional associations
  • Understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, communication, and lighting design
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards
  • Experience in consulting industry is an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills; bilingual (French) is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AGI32, SKM)
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • High integrity and work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Valid Driver’s License

As a successful candidate, you will collaborate with Electrical teams based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
