We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Halifax. This role involves designing and managing electrical systems for commercial buildings, light industrial facilities, and complex projects across Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify electrical systems for buildings, including:
    • Power distribution, essential power systems (generators, UPS), grounding design.
    • Telecommunications, data systems, security, and fire alarm systems.
    • Lighting and lighting control systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications, feasibility studies, and design briefs.
  • Conduct building condition assessments and options evaluations.
  • Estimate construction costs and develop project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
  • Familiarity with Nova Scotia market is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with AGi32 lighting design software.
  • Experience with SKM Power Tools software is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, Canadian Electrical Code, electrical standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
