Job summary

A leading engineering services provider in the Region of Waterloo, Cambridge, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. Candidates should have substantial experience with automation in industrial and automotive sectors, along with expertise in control systems hardware design. A valid permit to work in the USA is required, and experience leading teams is essential. The position offers compensation between $65,000 and $70,000 per year.

Job description

Candidates must have experience in the following:

• Automation related to Industrial, Automotive, Process, and Pharmaceutical plants. At the minimum industrial and automotive experiences in electrical design are desired.
• EPLAN
• Experience in Control Systems Hardware Design
• Wiring Diagram design and Electrical Schematic Preparation
• Valid permit/visa status to work in the USA at Ohio.
• Must have been a team lead for a small team of electrical hardware design engineers.

Preferred Experiences:

• Knowhow of AutoCAD and other software for Electrical wiring and Schematics design
• Knowledge of any electrical design tools and software.
• Has worked with outsourcing companies or Engineering services companies.
• Worked with India-based Teams/companies in the past.
• Experience with P&ID , PFD
• Knowhow of Mechanical or Mechatronic designs
• Worked on Electrical systems involving Robots, Vision Systems, VFD, Conveyors, various scanners.
• Knowhow of different communication protocols used in the Industry such as MODBUS, PROFIBUS, ETHERNET etc.
• Has worked on any SCADA, DCS, PLC, HMI troubleshooting or programming.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
