YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Energy & Infrastructure Engineering Lead, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Coordinate schedules and adjust the electrical work sequence in collaboration with the Underground Mine department stakeholders on a continuous basis to support the mine development and operation needs;
  • Work in close collaboration with the Electrical Engineers, Maintenance General Supervisor, Electrical Supervisors and Planners to ensure that priorities are respected;
  • Ensure electrical strategy / work is integrated seamlessly with the mine plan requirements to avoid delays in development;
  • Coordinate the construction work packages based on the detailed engineering in preparation for execution;
  • Initiate the procurement and follow-up for major electrical components;
  • Create budgets for projects based on engineering design and track costs /review variances;
  • Be part of interdisciplinary coordination on various underground or surface projects;
  • Work with external engineering firms supporting specific projects;
  • Support the documentation control process;
  • Collaborate with the planners for project work orders and preventive maintenance template creation;
  • Any other duties required by the Engineering Lead or Maintenance General Supervisor.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Electrical Engineer, College Diploma or extended experience in the electrical field;
  • 10 years of experience in an electrical underground mining environment;
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes, construction standards, preventative maintenance & reliability;
  • Experience in remote sites logistical practices (sealift and air cargo);
  • Project management knowledge across projects lifecycle (from initial idea to commissioning);
  • Strong JDE and Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
