Job description

Do you want to design high-performing and safe automated systems? As an Electrical and Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing robust architectures, programming controllers and interfaces (HMI, SCADA), and integrating solutions that comply with international standards such as ISO 13849. You will work on electrical design, system commissioning, and industrial process optimization. Are you ready to take on complex automation challenges and master advanced technologies? Do you have the rigor and versatility to ensure reliability and safety?

Your projects will involve:
  • Analyzing client needs and defining functional and technical requirements for automated systems.
  • Designing system architecture in compliance with modularity, safety, and reliability principles, following the V-model.
  • Programming PLCs, human-machine interfaces (HMI), SCADA systems, vision systems, and IoT, performing unit tests for each module.
  • Developing electrical plans for systems and designing safety controllers in accordance with international standards (ISO 13849).
  • Integrating and validating automated systems by following verification and validation steps to ensure performance and consistency.
  • Commissioning systems at client sites, performing final tests, and adjusting solutions as needed.
  • Providing technical support after delivery, optimizing existing systems, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Writing technical documentation and training operators and maintenance technicians on deployed systems.
You have the right profile if you:
  • Hold a degree in automated production engineering, industrial automation and instrumentation, industrial electricity, or a related field.
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in technical project execution in automation and/or electricity.
  • Are proficient with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
  • Master PLC programming languages (e.g., Studio5000, TwinCAT, TIA Portal, etc.).
  • Are familiar with machine safety standards (CSA Z432, ISO 13849) and associated safety systems.
  • Can read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • Have a good knowledge of technical English.
  • Understand motion control and industrial networking.
  • Have basic knowledge of industrial computing (C, C++, C#, Python, SQL…) – an asset.
  • Are autonomous and rigorous, able to take initiative and meet standards and deadlines.
  • Are versatile, with solid knowledge in electricity, automation, computing, and mechanics.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and can propose effective solutions.
  • Know how to work in a team and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
  • Adapt easily to changing environments and situations.
  • Are curious and interested in market innovations, while knowing how to integrate them safely and securely.
