Our client located in New Brunswick has an immediate opening for a Reliability Engineer.
Duties:
- Support the Maintenance & Operational teams to increase mill reliability, minimize cost, troubleshoot and resolve repetitive maintenance failures to improve efficiency;
- Liaise with consultants and vendors on technical aspects of issues;
- Develop, communicate and implement maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guidelines to support consistency and efficiency;
- Support the implementation and execution of a preventative and predictive maintenance program;
- Participate in shutdown coordination in support of Maintenance Planners and Mechanical Supervisors.
- Creation of CPA’s (Capital Project Authorization) and RPA’s (Repair Project Authorization) for budget approval;
- Estimate, scope and execute major maintenance and capital projects;
- Develop detailed schedules and perform construction management role during project execution;
- Manage multiple projects at any one time;
- Lead or participate in root cause problem elimination sessions on failed equipment;
- Lead change and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools;
- Assist Maintenance staff coverage as a fill-in planner or supervisor as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- May consider certification in Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role or industry;
- Exceptional organization, decision making and problem solving abilities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Maximo, SAP, PI, and Auto CAD;
- Orientation towards maintenance planning and mechanical maintenance systems;
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
- Strong Leadership and communication skills;
- Performance management experience;
- Kraft/Pulp Mill experience preferred, not essential;
- Experience with Maximo, SAP, PI, and Auto CAD considered an asset;
- Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset.
