Are you organized, coordinated, and interested in supporting an office dedicated to serving the public and enhancing police accountability? Join our dynamic team at the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC), an impartial agency overseeing municipal police conduct in BC, independent of police and government.

We are seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Deputy Commissioner and the Vancouver office. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, scheduling, correspondence, report preparation, records management, office supplies, travel arrangements, and utilizing various office systems and equipment.

The role requires exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • At least 2 years recent (within the last three years) experience supporting administrative functions in a confidential office environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic databases
  • Experience in preparing and formatting reports, briefing notes, and letters
  • Equivalent education and experience considered
  • Successful completion of Enhanced Security Screening
  • Preferred:

  • Experience supporting senior management in public service contexts
