Job description
Our client is a bustling boutique Law firm located in downtown Toronto focusing on criminal, civil and family law litigation. They are seeking a dynamic and driven professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in family law to join their team.

Your new role

In this new role, you will oversee files from inception to completion, with guidance and mentoring as needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Drafting various legal documents such as pleadings, financial statements, affidavits, conference briefs, and facta.
  2. Preparing and conducting discoveries, arguing motions, attending conferences, and assisting with trials.
  3. Researching and analyzing case law and statutes.
  4. Providing mentorship to junior associates.
  5. Maintaining communication with clients and other legal professionals.
  6. Assisting the senior partner in managing and overseeing her caseload.

What you will need to succeed

To qualify for this role, we seek a collaborative individual who excels in both independent and team-oriented settings. The ideal candidate possesses:

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a family law lawyer.
