A leading retail company is seeking an Area Manager to oversee multiple stores in Alberta. This role involves driving sales growth, developing talent, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience and a proven track record in retail management.
Reporting to the District Manager, the Area Manager is responsible for leading the operational execution of a group of 3–8 stores, which may include maintaining leadership over their designated home store. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving profitable top-line sales growth, and cultivating a high-performance selling culture. The Area Manager champions our brand and values, fosters a culture of accountability and development, and inspires excellence across all store teams.
Role and Responsibilities
Leadership & Talent Development
· Attract, develop, and retain top talent by building high-performing teams and promoting a positive, engaging, and rewarding work environment.
· Foster strong team culture through coaching, recognition, and consistent performance management
· Model professionalism and leadership behaviors aligned with company values.
· Analyze store performance and develop SMART action plans that drive results and align with business priorities.
· Ensure consistent selling behaviors and deliver a best-in-class customer experience through active coaching and store visits.
· Drive top-line sales through focused execution, talent development, and customer engagement strategies
· Ensure flawless execution of all operational activities, company initiatives, and compliance requirements.
· Maintain compelling visual merchandising and presentation standards, including effective sell-through strategies.
· Oversee workplace safety, store maintenance, and cleanliness to deliver a safe and productive environment.
· Minimum 5+ years of experience within the organization, including leadership roles.
· Proven success managing multiple stores with varying sales volumes.
· Minimum 1 year of experience leading a high-volume or high-profile store.
· Recognized as a key leadership partner within their district
