Overview

Evening Shift Dispatcher
Location: MTL West Island
Shift: 3:30pm to midnight
Industry: Trucking & Logistics
Languages: Bilingual – French & English (must-have!)

Responsibilities
  • Dispatch pickups and deliveries to drivers quickly and efficiently, ensuring optimal management of van load and container transport operations.
  • Manage a fleet of 15 to 30 drivers, ensuring smooth coordination and maximum productivity.
  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with drivers at all times.
  • Ensure on-time service for all pickups and deliveries while adhering to strict schedules.
  • Provide drivers with their work schedules to facilitate effective planning and coordination.
  • Plan tasks for the following day to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform any other related tasks to contribute to the smooth operation of transport services.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar dispatch role.
  • Experience in container and van loads.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Advantages

  • Salary between 50,000 - 55,000 depending on experience.
