Job description

Overview

Director of Recruitment — 2-4 hours per week. Position end date: August 31, 2026. Minimum 1 year commitment required and you must be physically present in Canada.

Young Minds Eye (YME) is a not-for-profit aiming to provide free educational services to students who have difficulties accessing resources. Our organization started as Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta and now aims to operate on a national scale, primarily serving Alberta and British Columbia. We strive to work together as a team to push each program forward and make an impact on our community.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer tutors, Talk Buddies facilitators, and volunteers for special events such as fundraisers and mental health initiatives
• Conduct interviews with all volunteers in collaboration with the Executive Chair
• Design innovative outreach strategies to raise awareness of Young Minds Eye across Canada, with a focus on targeted recruitment in specific regions
• Manage our social media presence and maintain volunteer opportunity postings
• Create engaging promotional materials to support recruitment and program visibility
