Director, Member Financial Advisory and Policy Services House of Commons (Canada) / Chambre des communes (Canada) • Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
The House of Commons Finance Services (FS) is currently looking to staff the Director Member Financial Advisory and Policy Services. This recruitment and selection process is restricted to House of Commons Administration employees.
You will be responsible for ensuring a unified and coordinated delivery of policy interpretation BOIE submissions technical advisory services as well as a standardized approach to providing financial services to Members and House officers.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) this role has authority over Member-facing financial service standards policy interpretation and escalation management, playing a central role in designing piloting and coordinating a centralized service model. With a focus on consistency, clarity and service excellence across FS you will provide strategic direction to ensure Members and House Officers receive timely and authoritative support.
As a senior leader you will lead multidisciplinary teams. In addition you will lead the development of one central source for Member financial guidance including standardized tools service pathways and governance to ensure consistent interpretation and delivery across FS.
You will define strategies set priorities and oversee initiatives that strengthen the resiliency and stability of Member financial services.
You will own and coordinate the client portfolio for operational support to Members, lead the Members Allowances and Services Manual (MAS) refresh initiative in collaboration with legal counsel and oversee the team responsible for delivering Board of Internal Economy (BOIE) submissions and authoritative MAS advice.
You will establish and monitor service standards and performance indicators using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and strengthen client experience.
