The role provides analytical and strategic support to expert testifiers, counsel and clients in litigation and other disputes in antitrust, intellectual property, international arbitration, and other areas. The Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice helps clients, who are facing legal disputes, protect enterprise value by quantifying damages and providing expert testimony in a range of dispute situations : antitrust claims, intellectual property, lost profits, valuations, breach of contract, purchase price disagreements, shareholder disputes, and business interruption. In addition, the practice conducts business valuation engagements in non‑litigious environments.
The Director will assist team leaders in leadership and advisory services in the context of fast‑moving litigation and alternate dispute resolution matters across a wide range of industries. Responsibilities include providing financial statement and valuation analysis, industry and economic research and critical assistance on specific valuation related projects.
Supervise and perform day‑to‑day activities in support of valuation consulting projects including interaction with client personnel, other team members, and professionals from other firms involved in the engagement.
Manage client engagement through entire lifecycle, including client communications, all analysis and drafting of expert reports or other client deliverables. Manage employees in various offices to execute and deliver all work. Work closely with senior management.
Perform technical, industry, and company research utilizing economic, financial, statistical and data science tools, other online tools and publicly available information including economic and financial data sets; develop work plans and execute relevant valuation analyses to assess complex economic and financial questions; assist in preparing reports and schedules summarizing findings that will be delivered to clients and other parties.
Apply accounting, financial, valuation, economic, statistical and other analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines, such as detailed reviews of financial statements and underlying accounting records, preparation of complex cash flow projections and valuation models, and perform in‑depth industry and economic research.
Supervise more junior team members’ analyses.
Maintain detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
Deliver a high‑quality product within established timeframes and budgets.
Prepare written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope and / or results of activities. Prepare presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties on the project scope and findings.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
