Overview

Northern Health is seeking a champion with significant management and leadership experience to join Northern Health. In accordance with the vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Director, HIM leads a team responsible for delivering Health Information Management (HIM) to the organization, which includes functions such as registration, release of information, records management and processing, health informatics and information management (HIIM) services and business process redesign. The Director leads changes as needed to ensure that HIM functions in Northern Health are delivered in a manner that supports integrated care and high-quality service delivery. Key accountabilities also include leading complex projects and quality improvement initiatives, managing high level stakeholder relationships and managing contractual arrangements related to HIM services. The position is a health informatics leader, advancing healthcare transformation within a framework of people, processes and technology to improve healthcare services.
