Overview

The House of Commons’ Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the position of Director, Enterprise Networking and Data Centre Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a unified and seamless delivery of digital infrastructure services that support Members of Parliament, the House Administration, and their partners.

Responsibilities

As a senior leader, you will lead multidisciplinary teams with a strong focus on enterprise networking, data centres, hosting platforms, and other core infrastructure services. You will define strategies, set priorities, and oversee the initiatives that strengthen the resiliency, stability, and security of the parliamentary digital environment, ensuring that foundational platforms remain reliable and future-ready. You will also provide strategic direction to ensure the long-term sustainability of infrastructure services while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. This includes shaping roadmaps, overseeing major contracts and partner relationships, managing multi-year budgets, and ensuring risk management practices are in place to deliver secure, stable, and high-performing enterprise services. This role will oversee teams responsible for delivering mission-critical infrastructure services within a 24 / 7 support model.

As such, work activities related to this role may require irregular hours to meet our operational requirements. As part of this position, you must work onsite.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience :

  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in a complex, technology-driven environment;
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure products and services such as networking, data centres, or core enterprise services;
  • Experience developing and implementing multi-year strategies, roadmaps, and operational frameworks;
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners / vendors and negotiating contracts or service-level agreements;
  • Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation in support of digital services;
  • Experience advising senior executives on technology strategies and providing direction on infrastructure solutions.

Assets :

  • Experience leading large-scale service delivery transformations or digital modernization initiatives;
  • Experience in a public sector or highly regulated environment.
